Vertical jumps and fall protection
The springer reaches high ledges that other early mounts cannot. Its charged jump makes the Desert Highlands and later maps much easier to explore.

Finish the renown heart at the ranch so its task vendor becomes available.

Purchase the mount from Stablemaster Unja. Then start training High Vault when you have the experience and points.

Reach the high places
Train Canyon Jumping
Before travelling to Highjump Ranch, train the Raptor's Canyon Jumping mastery. It is the intended route through the Desert Highlands and prevents a frustrating detour.
Find Highjump Ranch
In Stampede Uplands, follow the Highjump Ranch renown heart. Help the ranch with its nearby tasks until the heart is complete and the task vendor unlocks.
Buy the Springer
Speak with Stablemaster Unja after finishing the heart. The purchase unlocks the Springer account-wide; you can then immediately begin collecting Desert Highlands experience for its mastery track.

Practice the vertical route
Charge before you jump
Hold the jump key for height. A short press is useful for small ledges, while a fully charged jump is for cliffs and mastery insights.
Train High Vault
High Vault increases your upward reach and is the mastery that turns the Springer into a true vertical exploration tool.
Use safe landings
The Springer is forgiving after a high jump, but always check the landing area before committing to an unfamiliar route.
