Begin High Roller
Own Living World Season 4 Episode 3, Long Live the Lich, then complete Forearmed Is Forewarned. During Tactical Triage, speak with Spearmarshal Zaeim in the Allied Encampment and then speak to Gorrik on the northern edge of the camp.
FocusThis unlocks Beetle Juice—the first collection.
Complete Beetle Juice
Collect Petey's medicine ingredients around the Domain of Kourna. Search Kodonur Crossing, Arkjok Farmlands, and Bitterfly Bayou, then return to Gorrik after the nine map items are complete.
FocusFinish this stage before looking for saddle parts.
Assemble the Beetle Saddle
Gather Kourna and Central Tyria components. Important parts include Awakened Inquest drops, a Kourna bounty reward, Ley-Line Anomaly participation, and the Inquest Golem Mark II world boss in Mount Maelstrom. Bring the completed set to Blish, then interact with Petey.

Prepare Beetle Feed
Petey's final meal takes you through multiple maps. The collection includes Kourna scarab events, a Crystal Desert junundu drop, the Alpha Beetle in Silverwastes, the Toxic Spider Queen in Kessex Hills, and a Domain of Kourna heart-vendor item.
FocusThe last item appears after the other food objectives are done.
Feed Petey and claim the mount
Return to Petey in the Allied Encampment once every food item is complete. Finish Dinner's Ready to unlock the Roller Beetle and its mastery track account-wide.
FocusOpen the Mastery panel after the unlock to begin training its movement skills.

Learn the Roller Beetle
Lesson 1
Boost only with a clear line
Boost spends your full endurance bar. Use it on a straight route or downhill—not directly before a wall, sharp corner, or narrow bridge.
Lesson 2
Set up a drift before the corner
When you are already fast, hold the drift key and begin turning before the corner. Release into the turn rather than waiting until you reach the edge.
Lesson 3
Use races as practice
Roller Beetle races teach boost timing, banking, and drifting better than a crowded map. Aim for one smooth lap before trying advanced speed tricks.
Lesson 4
Keep another mount ready
The beetle is excellent on predictable ground, but uneven terrain and vertical routes are better handled by a raptor, springer, skyscale, or griffon.
