House of Dragonz

House of Dragonz standards

Editorial standards

These standards explain how we approach Guild Wars 2 builds, guides, factual game information, updates, and corrections across the archive.

Standard 01

Source the foundation

We use official Guild Wars 2 information where it is the best source for game facts, and we compare established community resources when evaluating builds, strategies, or practical approaches.

Standard 02

Separate facts from recommendations

Game facts, unlock requirements, and system behavior are treated differently from build choices or practical recommendations. Recommendations are presented as context-dependent rather than universal rules.

Standard 03

Keep build intent clear

Every build should have an understandable role, game mode, and purpose. Gear, traits, utilities, and rotation guidance should support that purpose instead of mixing unrelated goals.

Standard 04

Review changing content

Guild Wars 2 changes over time. When balance patches, game systems, encounters, or unlock paths change, affected pages should be reviewed and updated rather than left to imply permanent accuracy.

Standard 05

Correct mistakes

If a factual error, outdated instruction, or broken recommendation is identified, the goal is to correct the page rather than defend the old version. Community feedback is welcome through the House of Dragonz Discord.

Standard 06

Avoid artificial rankings

We do not treat a single benchmark number as the only measure of a useful build. Real encounter performance, role reliability, survivability, utility, and execution difficulty can all matter.

Common reference points

Where we check information

Depending on the topic, we may consult the official Guild Wars 2 website and wiki alongside established community resources such as Snow Crows and Hardstuck. Sources are used as reference points, not as a substitute for explaining the material in our own archive.
