Full unlock guide
Begin the Path of Fire story and continue through its opening chapter, Sparking the Flame. The permanent Raptor is awarded during this story—there is no separate collection to complete.
After the Forged attack, speak to Tasa and Aksim. Use the temporary raptor to reach villagers on ledges, put out fires, and complete the Seeker's Village task inside the story instance.
Return to Aksim once the village task is done. The saddle unlocks the permanent account-wide Raptor and opens the Path of Fire mastery tracks.
Mastery path
Canyon Jumping greatly extends the Raptor leap. It is the most important early desert mastery because it opens routes to other mounts, including the Springer and Skimmer ranches.
A maximum-distance leap consumes endurance. Plan two jumps across wider gaps, then wait for endurance to recharge instead of trying to force a route from an unsafe ledge.
The Raptor engage skill is useful for grouping nearby enemies, but its real strength is movement. Leap past small encounters when your goal is exploration rather than combat.
